Who We Are

We are an inclusive group of people with a connection to the San Juan Islands who are interested in boating and our marine environment.  We welcome members with sailboats, powerboats and human-powered craft, and people who have non-boating interests in our unique island home – owning a boat is not a requirement of membership.

The Clubhouse is a focus of the San Juan Island social scene and a great way for new or seasonal residents to make connections with active community members and find common interests while enjoying an unmatched view of Friday Harbor from our infinity deck.  Twice a week or more the Club is open to members and guests for dinner and drinks.  We host movie nights, costume parties and galas. We sponsor Opening Day each May – the San Juan Island “4th of July on the Water” – with the participation of dozens of community groups.

Club volunteers lead 8-10 cruises each year to destinations as near as the San Juan and Gulf islands and as far as Barkley Sound and the Broughton Archipelago and some years Alaska. We sponsor fishing contests and local events. We have sponsored the Shaw Island Classic sailboat race for over 50 years.
